We frequent Disney, as you know, but we frequent Disney Springs too! I don’t share enough of Disney Springs truthfully. You’re probably aware there are vast varieties of shopping and food, but did you know Disney Springs is a hang out place for our family? I’ve created a list of our favorite affordable Toddler friendly things to do at Disney Springs making it a morning, mid day, or week day place to bring the kids for some Disney fun without going into the theme park.
I take the 2 boys there often by myself. This is a great place for a play date or a place to mix things up in the middle of a rough week for the littles.
Let’s chat food. We keep it simple with food for the littles. They prefer time running around outside and exploring shops so we don’t often sit down for a lengthily meal, and have you sat down to eat with 2 toddlers before? ha!
Snacks: We pack snacks, share a treat from Ghirardelli or visit the Disney bakery in the back near Rainforest Cafe. Between packed snacks and a shared treat we save $$ and enjoy the simple things. We take our snacks out doors too. The views are beautiful and if the stage is empty we sit there for our snack (a fun place for the kids to dance and roam a bit in a safe zone).
Meals: My husband loves Earl of Sandwich and the kids enjoy it too! They love walking up and picking out their fruit and chip selections. We also enjoy T-Rex and Rainforest occasionally as we have the diner card that allows us to skip lines. I digress, simple and quick is our favorite so Earl of Sandwich and shareable sweets are our go to.
Exploring: Disney Springs has it’s season just like the theme parks and in the fall and winter the kids take over Disney Springs. Less crowds, plenty of space for them to roam, and run around. As I mentioned the stage area is a fun place to allow them to dance and enjoy snacks. The props in front of the stores and inside the stores provide them so much entertainment. MOM, did you see Buzz over there in front of that store?!? Oh, to be a toddler and get joy from seeing a Disney statue.
Shopping: Toddlers could spend foreverrrr in the Disney Store. As it’s currently being remodeled we can’t spend the hours we spend in there as we typically do but we still take a look at all the things as the merchandise rotates often. The Disney Corner store is my oldest favorite. There are several shops there, but we tend to let the toddlers hand out at those two stores. The Disney Corner store has a second level and they often have music playing and employees dancing. We join in on the dancing fun there. *I should title this little to no shopping as we often leave with no toys or just a small token of sorts. We’re blessed that our boys enjoy being in a Disney environment that they don’t beg for toys and they know how Mama feels about living with less to explore more. You don’t have to buy things to have fun at Disney.
There you have it! This is how we frequent Disney springs with spending little to no money at all. It truly is a great place to roam and soak up the Disney life. Share my affordable toddler friendly things to do at Disney Springs with your besties!
Side note: Disney Springs during Christmas is epic! Ghirardelli hot coco, the tour of trees, themed treats, and decor- YES!
