Happy hump day, friends. We recently moved into a new house and we’ve already met a handful of our neighbors. Luckily, we made a great decision with this house because the entire block is lovely. I suspect we will have many block parties and participate in neighborhood events throughout the year.
Inspired by the future block parties we will partake in I’m sharing a few tips, a recipe that the guys will love and a unique way to serve wine at parties. Set up a simple summer wine block party table display in your front yard and encourage the entire neighborhood to do the same. Hop around from house to house snacking and sipping away. You’re sure to all become bff’s by the end of the block.

Wine and popsicles, does it get any better than that? Adults can enjoy popsicles too! I am obsessed with the look of popsicles slowly melting in drinks; it’s pretty and fun and so very summer. As I mentioned, the summer heat is a wild one this year but most of us spend some time outdoors entertaining during these brutal months and summer staple items are a must. Don’t be afraid to buy that ice cream cake and popsicles for your adult friendly party. Adulting is hard and we all deserve sweet treats… especially treats served in wine. I think I will serve my guests popsicles in wine from this point forward.
Now let’s make some meatballs sliders!
My husband, like most men, is a huge fan of beef and appetizers that are on the filling side. These meatball sliders are the perfect snack to keep you full while you sip wine. The secret to my meatball sliders is herbs. I load up on the herbs and cook the meatballs in a stove top pan. Here’s what you’ll need:
Dash of pepper and salt
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic salt
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp dried basil
Coat the meatballs generously.
Toss the meatballs in a frying pan, continue to stir until done.
Allow time to cool before serving.
Serve on dinner rolls or small buns.
To pair your hearty meatball slider appetizer you’ll want to pick up Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi in varieties including Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. This wine was made to be shared with others and makes any occasion more fun! Woodbridge has been around for 30 years and is a brand you can trust. I tend to select wines from great companies, so Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi is a must have for entertaining guests.
