Earlier this week I shared a sparkling berry sip and today I’m back at it with the sparkling sips!
Fresh fruit is one of my most favorite things. Keeping it real, fruit and donuts are my two favorite snacks, I like to keep a balance. Yesterday I had donuts and today I’ll stick to fruit. Lemons are my favorite fruit to place in drinks. When we are at a restaurant I ask for extra lemons, always. I have recently discovered I like grapefruit too, not sure why I didn’t like it before. Grapefruit has a different taste than most sweet fruits, but I’m digging it.
For this refreshing sparkling fruit mocktail recipe I made a grapefruit peel simple syrup and pulled out the really pretty paper straws. I did it all just for you. wink.
Aside for a love of the taste of fruit, it’s beautiful! Fruit is one of the easiest things for me to photograph. Nature’s food is all sorts of amazing, right? Most of the images on my blog posts were taken a few times with the exception of fruit. One close up shot and the stunning colors in the fruit do all the work for me.
What I’m saying is you’ll see more fruit photos from me this summer. You’re welcome.
Grab the recipe details below!
Sparkling Water Lemon
Small pack of raspberries
1 cup of water
1/2 cup of sugar
Fancy straws (optional, but sorta not optional, wink!)
Peel grapefruit and place peels into 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of sugar.
Boil. Remove from heat and allow mixture to steep until cool.
Remove grapefruit peels and set aside.
In a glass combine a handful of raspberries, lemon slices and a grapefruit slice.
Add in 4-6 tbsp of the grapefruit simple syrup mixture over the fruit mixture in the glass.
Allow the fruit to soak up the grapefruit steeped syrup for a few minutes.
Pour 1 can of Sparkling lemon water into the glass, add in a fancy straw, serve and enjoy!
This is not a sponsored post- I’m a BIG fan of sparkling fruit filled sips!
