This weekend we showered my sister with loads of baby love as she approaches the end of her pregnancy. It was a fun filled weekend spent with family and I think I need a day of sleep to recover. Day of sleep? Does such a thing exist? While I restlessly keep at my mom duties I’ll be shoveling coffee and cookies by the truck load to keep me afloat. Speaking of cookies…
You have to be a fan of cadbury creme eggs to like this cookie recipe. Each year I tell myself I’ll only eat 1 cadbury egg, I’ve had 4 already. Darn you, Easter candy. I decided to combine my love for cadbury creme eggs and chocolate chip cookies one afternoon while baking for a client. To say I was happy with the results would be an understatement. The husband is my taste tester and he approved this message.
Grab the recipe details below.
What you’ll need:
1 pack of cadbury creme eggs
1 pack of chocolate chip cookie dough (or homemade cookies because they simply taste the best, wink!)
Place package of cadubry creme eggs in the refrigerator overnight
Remove from fridge and cut each egg into 3 sections
Bake cookies as directed BUT remove from oven 5 minutes prior to finishing.
Place one chopped piece of cadbury creame egg onto the cookie
Place back in oven for 5 remaining baking minutes which will allow the chocolate egg to melt into the cookie. Bake for an additional few minutes if required for melting, but don’t overcook the cookie.
Serve warm and enjoy!
