I know I’m not the only one guilty of hoarding leftover Valentine’s Day candy OR buying it for half off the day after. Seriously, 50% off one day after a holiday is a steal! The candy hasn’t “gone bad”, so why not? My thighs might say don’t do it, but my mind says girl, that’s a sale you can’t ignore. I listen to my mind.
So for those of you who can’t bare to watch the candy just sit in the pantry and for those who take advantage of after holiday sales I present to you leftover Valentine’s candy bark.
This recipe is on the ridiculously easy side.
For my bark I used 1 cup of mini chocolate morsals, 2 chopped snack size kit kats, 3 chopped snack size Reese’s cups, 2 chopped snack size Hersey bars and 1/4 cup of strawberry M&M’s.
Chop candy. This is the fun part because you can sample as you chop.
Melt chocolate in the oven at 250 for 3 minutes on parchment paper on a baking sheet.
Using a spatula, spread the chocolate out over the parchment paper.
Sprinkle chopped candy. Feel free to go heavy on the candy sprinkling.
Place in freezer for 1 hour or until hard.
Break apart and enjoy!
