Hey, ladies! (Hey, girl, hey)
The holiday season brings us loads of gatherings and parties making it my most favorite time of the year; it’s entertaining guests prime time season. Hosting ladies night in is always fun, but this year I’m adding a little twist to a basic party- tv shows! Most shows (the popular ones) take a holiday break which offers the best time to play catch up. I try to keep up on my favorite shows but with baby and work it’s tough to fit in every episode. I know you ladies can relate. Let’s fix that and have a ladies night in to catch up on our favorite shows!
Grab my tips on how to host a holiday ladies night in TV show party below.
Snacks + Games
Snacks are the best part of a party, right? Keep things simple yet stylish and add salty and sweet. Popcorn is one of my go-to’s for all parties. It’s a simple snack that everyone enjoys and it can be displayed in cute boxes. To balance things out be sure to have sweet on hand. If you want to skip the baking grab candy bars and serve them in individual bags, you can personalize them too! Mini treats make things easy so keep things in small containers. Small popcorn boxes are the perfect size for all sorts of snacks.
Before and/or after starting your TV series of choice consider playing a short game. Earlier this year I created a DIY checker board game and it’s always close by. It’s pretty, doubles as a drink tray and is a short game to not take up too much time before the party gets going. Head here to lean how to make a DIY checkers board game.
Wine is a total must, of course. Select wines that are light such as ANEW Pinot Grigio which pairs well with simple snacks. Simple snacks and ample wine is a requirement for all holiday gatherings. Consider sending your favorite ladies home with a bottle of wine too! Wine is a great gift idea for Christmas and there’s a large variety of bags and wine boxes available to add a little extra holiday pizzaz. This you’re welcome bag is the best.
TV show selections.
There are so many great TV shows to select from especially the shows in the TGIT line up. Any Grey’s fans out there? Shonda Rhimes has Thursdays in the palm of her hand! Aside from the TGIT line up I am a huge Black List fan, anyone else enjoy getting their “Red” fix?
Take a vote on which show you want to catch up on during your ladies night in TV show party and if there’s a split decision have one of your besties host the next gathering. I don’t think many would turn down 2 ladies night in parties. wink
Have a TV show you want to catch up on that would be perfect for a ladies night in party? If I host a Black List party can I count you in?
Happy holiday entertaining friends and have fun catching up on those shows!
Melissa Creates was provided ANEW wine. I highly recommend trying ANEW wines and gifting a bottle or two this holiday season- great wine from a great company! #anewTGIT
