This year Father’s Day is extra special to my little family. My handsome husband gets the privilege of celebrating Father’s Day as a dad! (insert a round of applause) Lincoln is one lucky little boy and he will be showering his dad with baby love all day long, I’m sure of it. We plan on kicking off the day with coffee in bed and then enjoy some of dad’s favorite things.
My guy likes him some sweets and of course Star Wars. This year I got the party started a little early and whipped up a delicious Star Wars Father’s Day display.
Creating a delicious Star Wars inspired display will put a grin on dad’s face and all that’s required is a the perfect cake, classic Star Wars items and a personal touch. These Star Wars prints didn’t make it in the nursery, but as Linc grows the wall decor will adjust as well so we kept them close by. I am so glad we decided to keep the artwork on hand because they made our Father’s Day display awesome! You can check out the prints and more fan inspired minimalist artwork here.
Awhile back I created simple Star Wars painted wall decor signs- I love you. I Know. You can grab the simple DIY project details here. Let me know if you make these, I’d love to see your creative spin on them!
I’ve partnered with my friends at Cold Stone to make sure dad has one delicious Father’s Day!
This cake. Oh my my my. You don’t have to be celebrating your first Father’s Day to enjoy this tall dark and delicious masterpiece. Doesn’t this cake pair perfectly with Darth? (wink). This Cold Stone cake is layers of moist Devil’s food cake, sweet cream ice cream with brownies & chocolate ice cream with OREO® cookies wrapped in fluffy white frosting with cascading fudge ganache. Did your mind just get blown? This cake is gorgeous and tastes like a slice of chocolate heaven. Go ahead and order one online for dad’s day, friends you’ll have no regrets.
This photo of my boys is one of my favorites. I’m sure over the next several years I’ll have a few favorites. This photo captures the very first chest nap Lincoln took with his dad and one of his first naps at home. This photo will forever be special to us.
