Who else is prepping for an annual holiday party? Christmas gatherings are my favorite! It truly is the most wonderful time of the year. Paired with seasonal treats, creating holiday displays is something I simply don’t seem to get enough of.
Traditional Christmas styling is the direction I tend to sway. Plaid, gold, red and green are colors and patterns you simply can’t go wrong with. I’ve teamed up with Planter’s to showcase a party display you can easily recreate in your home this holiday season and a must-try cheesecake recipe. Grab all the fun details below!
When it comes to setting up holiday party displays I put much emphasis on using items found around your home and supplementing with craft store seasonal decor items. Our home and personal style reflects that of eclectic and woodsy. Being that traditional holiday style is a favorite adding in woodsy touches can easily be done with items found in my house; items such as the antlers shown. Traditional styling is a favorite for many during the month of Christmas so take a look around your house to add in extra little touches that make the display even more personalized.
Adding in a variety of seasonal treats to a display is another Christmas party table setting go-to. Showcase a wide selection of treats to enjoy- from this cheesecake recipe (which you’ll swoon over), a nut variety, a season sip and annual favorites.
Sticking with the traditional style setting, I paired my recipes with eggnog. I added a little touch of pizzaz to the classic season sip by garnishing each glass of eggnog with finely chopped Planter’s cocoa almonds. Holiday themed drink stirrers, such as these tinsel garland stirrers, are another way to add a little extra touch to traditional Christmas drinks.
Traditional Christmas Party Decor and Cheesecake Recipe
Traditional Cheesecake (recipe of choice) and Planter’s Brittle Nut Medley
Create a traditional cheesecake. I chose to make a mini cheesecake for this Christmas party to make them bite size friendly. Allow the cheesecake to refrigerate for 2-6 hours minimum (or overnight). Finely chop up Planter’s Brittle Nut Medley, approximately 1 cup full. Sprinkle the chopped medley mixture over the cooled cheesecake, serve and enjoy!
You’ll find Planter’s holiday products- Holiday Nut Crunch, Cocoa Almonds, Brittle Nut Medley, Winter Spcied Mix and the Holiday Collection Tin at your local Walmart. (Catch that super cute baby bump photo above? wink).
Before heading into your local Walmart to pick up these recipe ingredients be sure to download the Blippar app. The Blippar app is super fun! By simply scanning the front of the Planter’s products I was able to pull up product details, take a selfie with Mr. Peanut himself and more. I totally lost track of time playing with this fun app in the store and of course I HAD to take a selfie.
