I love summer entertaining and even more so trying out new summer themed recipes! I’ve been known to host a tea party or two and the summer months are the perfect time to have a tea party. What gal doesn’t love a simple tea gathering? Tea, sandwiches, chit chat and warm weather… so refreshing.
For those of you who can’t get enough of a good tea pairing I’m sharing a delicious spread that will have your taste buds jumping for joy. You don’t have to be hosting a tea party to enjoy this one, but you totally should. Your girlfriends will be impressed by your fancy sandwich and Lipton tea pairing.
How amazing does this sandwich and spread look? It has a crisp and slightly sharp taste which means you have one good sandwich on your hands. The recipe only requires 4 ingredients and about 10 minutes to create. I’ll be serving this sandwich to friends and family the remainder of the summer.
My husband isn’t a mayonnaise fan and he loved this sandwich! When I told him that Hellmanns was one of the ingredients he was surprised. He gave two thumbs up to the basil spread that added a little punch to this basic sandwich.
Because it was only right that I taste tested this recipe I had the spread on a small piece of bread with no other toppings and loved it!
Here are you basil mayo spread Lipton tea pairing ingredients:
Fresh Basil, Hellmanns Mayonnaise, Lipton Tea, Deli Turkey, Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Garlic, Tomato, Fresh Bakery Bread and Cayenne Pepper
Get your shopping list ready, head to your local Walmart, grab the recipe details below and prep for your Lipton tea pairing summer party!
Basil Mayo Spread Recipe
Using a food processor chop fresh basil; you’ll want 1 cup of chopped basil. If you don’t have a food processor handy finely chop the basil leaves by hand getting them as small as you can. Combine the chopped basil with 3/4 cup of Hellmanns Mayonnaise, 1/8 tsp of Cayenne Pepper and one finely chopped garlic clove. Go ahead and add a pinch of salt to the mix as well. Spread your new basil mayo onto fresh bakery bread and add the desired toppings. I suggested turkey, sharp cheddar cheese and a tomato slice. Pair your sandwich with a glass of iced Lipton tea and serve proudly!
