This recipe and ladies Sunday snack date is part of the TWIX® Bites #EatMoreBites #Shop hosted by the social shopper media community Collective Bias®.
Sundays are known for being Sunday Fundays. With the dreaded Monday just hours away we are all about making the most of a Sunday. This past weekend I had a few of my favorite ladies over for what I will term “a snack date” to chat, laugh and catch up. Life keeps us all so busy and pulled in different ways so we don’t get together as often as we would like but we decided to begin rotating who plays hostess with the mostess for Sunday dates monthly. Yay to making plans!
As this weeks hostess I was all about keeping it simple and adding the perfect mix of sweet, salty and slightly healthy. Working with Twix® was truly a treat (pun intended) and my new easy snacks are going to be a ladies gathering must-have.
Entertaining from the comfort of home is the best, wouldn’t you agree? Having the ladies over totally gave me reason to pick up some new pillows. I knew we would make our way from the dining table to the living room and eventually outside for photos. For us, there’s never a gathering that doesn’t involve photos.

My go-to no fuss hostess tips include a quick shopping trip, whipping up easy and new recipes, displaying treats with pride and entertaining naturally.
Make a quick visit to your local wal-mart to pick up the snack date essentials (grab a coupon here). I prefer a simple balance of sweet and salty and of course sparkling water for any type of gathering. Once you’re home whip up a new snack with your TWIX Bites. If your friends are anything like mine they will be impressed and ask how you figured out such cool snack ideas. Wink.
I think it’s always important to take pride in setting out your food even if it’s just a few snacks for a small ladies gathering, pull out some fun plates you don’t normally get to use! Lastly, entertain naturally. These guests are typically your family member or close friends so there’s no need to fuss with the entertaining portion. Turn on some of your favorite mellow tunes (I can’t get enough of Christina Perri after attending one of her concerts recently) and pour the sparkling water or adult beverage and catch up with your fave ladies!
Enjoy these easy and sweet Twix® Bites party snack recipe ideas-
Apple & Chocolate Twix® Bites Snack:
Slice apples or purchase a bag of pre cut apples. Dip your apples in chocolate (I used a chocolate spread as opposed to melted chocolate to make this process even faster). Dice up Twix Bites and place a piece of diced candy on each chocolate dipped apple. Serve and enjoy!
Twix® and Milky Way® Simply Caramel Bites Snack Mix:
Combine half a bag of Twix Bites and half a bag of Milky Way Simply Caramel Bites with 1/2 a box of chocolate chex mix cereal. Serve, enjoy and place in to-go bags for your guests to take home!
Make sure to grab this coupon from Social Twist to receive $1.00 off when you buy two 2.83 oz. or larger bags OR $3.00 off when you buy two 6 oz. or larger bags!
I highly recommend starting a Sunday funday tradition with your fave ladies. Get dressed up, sip, snack and soak up a little time with the lovely ladies in your life.

So fun! Sundays are definitely for playing with friends.
Totally! I can’t imagine Sunday’s any other way. 🙂
Love this idea! I tend to just forget to make plans with friends if I don’t get things on the calendar regularly. And maybe it’s just that I’m pregnant, or maybe they just looking amazing, but those apple slices are seriously calling my name right now. Can you run some over quick? 🙂
haha, I would totally bring you these apples if I could. 😉
These are great tips Melissa! I never would have thought to use Twix in a different way other than just inhaling them as a candy bar! And I love that you kept the snacks simple so you could focus on girl time and catching up with your friends!! Girl time is so important. I wish you and I got more of it!
