Holiday parties and simple Christmas recipes are my fave… well, they are everyone’s fave. Earlier this week my husband and I attended a friends Christmas party, which I’ll now call Friendsmas which is obviously the same as Friendsgiving just a different Holiday. Celebrating with friends means we will be enjoying an evening of laughter, games (yes, I know Jenga is photo bombing) delicious food and an environment where things are kept simple. I’ve teamed up with Kraft to share not one but two easy Christmas recipes and one recipe doubles as the perfect Hostess gift. There’s lots to cover so let’s start baking an easy cheese bread appetizer and snow biscotti’s!
You’ll need Kraft Mayo, Kraft Shredded Cheese, Garlic and Sourdough Bread for this recipe. I always have mayo, cheese and garlic on hand so this recipe should call for an easy shopping trip, come check out my Kraft shopping adventures here. Begin by taking 1/2 cup of Kraft Mayo and mixing it with 1 bulb of freshly chopped garlic then you’ll want to score your bread, remember to not to cut all the way through. This step can get a little messy but no worries, it’s fun.
Next you’ll take your Kraft Mayo garlic spread and coat the inside pieces of your scored bread. Make sure to get your mixture down into the bread cuts evenly so everyone gets a bite full of garlic flavoring!
Now it’s time to fill with cheese. Take your Kraft shredded cheese and fill, fill, fill! Your bread will start to expand as you work your magic allowing for easier access to continue filling each cut with bread. Bake your bread at 350 degree for 20 minutes or until desired. I cooked my bread a little longer allowing for the bread to be crunchy on the outer edges.
I complemented my bread with a fresh herb and olive oil mixture. The guests at our friends Christmas party aka Friendsmas loved this easy Holiday appetizer!
Next up, a SWEET hostess gift! Snow Biscotti’s and coffee, yum.
As a coffee fan I automatically assume everyone else is a coffee fan, wink wink. These snow biscotti’s are easy to make and super cute, right? You’ll need biscottis (any flavor of your choice, I went with vanilla almond), Baker’s chocolate and Baker’s coconut.
Simply melt your Baker’s chocolate and dip in the ends of your biscotti’s, place your chocolate dipped biscotti’s on parchment paper and sprinkle on Baker’s coconut. Allow the biscotti’s to cool, refrigerate then package them up! I paired my snowy biscotti’s with Maxwell House coffee, this is a dream combo sure to impress the Christmas party hostess!
