I am thrilled (super thrilled) to be sharing a recipe sent my way from Firefly Confections. Sandy is one of my favorite people and I’m blessed to call her a very dear friend. One of the many things Sandy and I have in common is a mad love for coffee. We treat each other to coffee from a distance from time to time because we’re awesome like that. We are also partial to International Delight creamers and share our favorite flavors not only with each other but with all of our social media friends on the regular. Here’s a recipe created by Sandy inspired by a fave coffee creamer.
International Delight Vanilla Heat Hot Fudge Sauce
Coffee creamer is a great way to add unique flavor to your classic hot fudge sauce. I used International Delight because it’s my favorite but you could use any brand. The vanilla Heat was a perfect choice as the vanilla was a great compliment to chocolate and the spicy pepper adds just enough of an expected kick to make it stand out. Try other flavors like peppermint mocha or hazelnut.
You will need:
3/4 cup international delight vanilla heat liquid coffee creamer
1/4 brown sugar
1/4 cocoa powder
1/2 cup light corn syrup
6oz chocolate chips
1 tablespoon butter
In a large sauce pan combine creamer, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and corn syrup.
Bring to a boil stirring constantly, boil for 30 seconds.
Remove from heat and stir in butter and chocolate chips until butter is melted and the mixture is smooth.
Cool and pour into small mason jars.
Can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Re warm gently in the microwave if necessary.
*This is not a sponsored post, Sandy and I love International Delight creamer and chat about it often.
