You know when you stare at the pantry and think that would totally go good with that? That is exactly what happened when I was eyeing these pretzels one evening combined with recently reading a Rachel Ray magazine filled with fun recipe ideas. Obviously I was hungry and inspired. This might seem surprising but peanut butter is one of my all time fave snacks. Netflix and a spoon full of peanut butter is a normal evening for me. I don’t mind jelly but I really like jam and preserves, mainly blueberry. After allowing my inspired hunger to take over I combined blueberry jam, my fave peanut butter, and pretzels and easily created a new snack.
I shared these yummy guys at a recent party and they received rave reviews. That means you should give it a try. The perfect salty and sweet snack break.
PBJ Pretzels Recipe
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/4 cup jelly or jam
1 package of salted or unsalted pretzels
Combine jelly and peanut butter in a pot. Heat on the stove on a low temperature until well blended. Pour the mixture over the pretzels stirring until well blended. Allow pretzels to cool and serve.
Tip: I cooled my set of pretzels in the fridge over night. A few of them did stick together but did not stick to my fingers.
