I’m a big Mortal Instruments Series fan. Did you catch my movie premiere party? It rocked and was one of my all time fave displays to create. This series is a second favorite to Twilight… Twilight will always be in the #1 slot, just keeping it real. Let’s not even start chatting Harry Potter and Hunger Games parties you’ll send me into a swirl of dreamy geeky party planning.
Magnus Bane is one of my favorite characters in this series. He’s full of personality, throws the best parties, I always envisioned him in the brightest of attire, and he’s just plain awesome. With all of that in mind I created a drink that was as vibrant as his personality. Isn’t it the prettiest drink you’ve ever seen? I will be making this cheerful recipe for all entertaining purposes from now on… you’re welcome guests of mine.
I went to the liquor store and asked for assistance with this one. I explained I wanted to make a bright drink, a very bright drink. I went in with purple in mind as Magnus Bane makes me think purple but once I was educated on the Curacao mixed drink possibilities I knew I had to give this a try. I poured a drink and literately said oh my gosh! Using a whipped cream vodka I created a orange cream cocktail dream. Orange slices to garnish and bam! I sat back and patted myself on the back for this recipe. Paired with black and white stripe fabric I was able to touch on the darker side of this book (now movie) series.
The Mortal Instruments Inspired Orange Cream Cocktail Recipe
