In celebration of my husbands Birthday I whipped up a cake with his favorite ingredient, Oreo’s! This Chocolate Fudge Oreo Cake Recipe is perfect for any chocolate or Oreo fan. It’s a simple recipe, which I like. This cake will be expected at each Birthday from now on and I’m ok with that.

Chocolate Fudge Oreo Cake Recipe
Ingredients: 1 box of Duncan Hines Chocolate Fudge Cake, 1 stick of butter, 8 oz of cream cheese, 1 regular store package of Oreo’s, 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract and 3 3/4 cups of confectioners sugar.
Bake cake as directed adding one row of crushed Oreo’s into the batter.
Frosting: Combine stick of butter and cream cheese into a bowl and mix (both should be at room temperature). Add vanilla extract and slowly add confectioners sugar. Add one and a half rows of crushed Oreo’s to the mixture.
Optional: Top off the cake with a handful of crushed Oreo’s.
Tip: I crush the Oreo’s in a zip lock bag with a meat beater. Sounds crazy right? Just hit the Oreo’s with the side of the beater or any other heavy kitchen tool and they will quickly crush. A food processor will work as well. For the topping I left the Oreo pieces larger than the pieces within the cake and frosting for decorating purposes.
