So who is a fan of cake batter or any recipe that involves cake batter? (Insert me jumping up and down with my hand in the air). When I go home for the Holidays my mom makes sure I leave with a full belly. Sweets is her thing and she definitely knows how to bake! My husband and I always look forward to her pecan pie, variety of cookies and dump cake. My grandmother requires a to go box of dump cake each and every time it’s made. I think I get some of my divaness from her. This cherry dump cake is so amazing I had to share it with ya! Here’s my mom’s famous dump cake recipe:
Mom’s Cherry Dump Cake Recipe
Ingredients: Yellow cake mix. 1 can of crushed pineapples. 1 can of cherry comstock. 2 sticks of butter
Directions: Mix together the can of pineapples and cherry comstock. Pour into a baking dish. Sprinkle dry cake mix on top of the fruit mixture. Melt butter and pour over the top. Bake according to the yellow cake box instructions
Boom. That’s it! You can substitute any fruit fillings you prefer but I warn you, this mixture is AH-mazing. Cake batter meets pie filling- oh my my my. You’ll thank me later, I promise.
